New SAIDI Foundation chief named

EDUCATOR and the corporate secretary of the Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education (FUSE) Dr. Rosalina J. Ora'a-Fuentes was installed as the new president of the Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute (SAIDI) Foundation, Inc. last January 23 at its campus in Antipolo.

 Ora'a-Fuentes obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Education degrees from Ateneo de Naga where she also earned her MA in education, with specialization in curriculum development and instructional planning. She was born in Tarlac, Tarlac on July 11, 1947.

She spent 15 years of traditional academic work in Ateneo de Naga and 13 years in Ateneo de Manila University where she became director of the Ateneo Center for ELT and chairman of the English department.

Ora'a-Fuentes, a founding member of the FUSE, took postgraduate studies in the United States, England and Canada under various grants, including those from Ruth Cymes Fellowdhips and Ford 

She is a consultant for organization development of several government and private firms. She packages learning materials in business writing, problem-solving and decision-making, internal consulting, community building, and cultural induction. She has also co-authored a book in teaching English to high school students and some learning modules for DepEd.
