Dr. ROSALINA J. ORA’A FUENTES’ educational background is an interesting mix of multi-disciplines. Her undergraduate preparation is a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Education degrees, major in History (cum laude) – Ateneo de Naga. She obtained her Master of Arts degree in Education with specialization in Curriculum Development and Instructional Planning – Ateneo and was conferred the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organization Development - SAIDI.
Her 28 years of traditional academic work (1967 –1995) was spent at the Ateneo de Naga for 15 years and at the Ateneo de Manila University for 13 years where Dean Rose served both as teacher of English (High School, undergraduate and graduate programs) and as administrator (as HS Vice-Principal, Director of the Ateneo Center for ELT and as Chair of the English Department).
Her post-doctoral studies include TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, U.S.A. thru a grant from Ruth Crymes Fellowship and Ford Foundation; Special training in training trainors at the University of Reading, England and a research to do a 2nd volume of a teacher training book through The British Council Grant; a training on Appreciative Inquiry from the Taos Institute, New Mexico. She has also been trained in PERSONALITY AND HUMAN RELATIONS (PRH) with Joanne Morin and Elsie Stitsen, both from Canada; a licensed TRAINOR in Seven Basic Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey framework; and a TRAINOR in the Use of Appreciative Inquiry (for teaching, planning and research).
She is a coach and a mentor in more ways than one: research work, program design, programs and interventions facilitation, programs evaluation, projects and interventions, projects management, proposal and report writing.
Her various experiences have been shared with her country as well as in her travels to most parts of the world like South Korea, Japan, Xiamen & Shanghai (China), and Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Guam, the American Samoa, key cities in the USA, key cities in Australia, Italy, UK, Amsterdam, Switzerland and Ghana, Africa.
As an Instructional Development Consultant, she has designed a Reading Program for High School learners. This program has been in place for over two decades now at the Ateneo de Naga. She has packaged learning materials in Business Writing, Problem-Solving and Decision-making, Internal Consulting and Community-building, Cultural Induction. She has authored books on teacher training and has co-authored a book in teaching English to High School students and some learning modules for DECS use.
Her past involvements include being Managing Partner/Senior Trainor & Facilitator at T.I.M.E. Consulting; and CEO of SOPHIA Consulting; Training Teachers designing and facilitating for over two decades now—through her Ateneo involvement and through non-Ateneo network like the Foundation for Up-grading the Standard of Education (FUSE) and the Bato-Balani Foundation (BBF). She has conducted teacher training workshops in various us school settings, both government & private, across the country and abroad.
As an OD consultant, Dr. Fuentes has rendered Consulting Services to government agencies, like the DOH, GSIS, SSS, Dep-Ed, DPWH, (DPWH-MIS); to non-government offices, like MSAS Cargo & Forwarding, PhilamLife & Splash; and multi-national firms, like Unilever, Alltell & Spex Shell, Malampaya-Shell-Project,Globe, LCT Group of Companies, SMART, AmKor, PerkinElmer, Enchanted Kingdom, The Clergy of the Diocese of Cubao, the Revisiting of the Vision-Mission of the Society of our Lady (SOLT) in Corpus Christi leading them to Plan using the AI Platform; the preparations of the RVM for their General Assembly about 4 years ago which lasted for about 6 months and the congregation did use AI as their platform for the General assembly acknowledged as a milestone in the congregation; the preparations of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Thailand for their 2009 Pastoral Planning using AI; the preparations of the Brothers of Saint Gabriel for their 2009 Congregational Planning Assembly; leading the Research Project of the following books: AI Experiences - Philippine Setting, TAIPAN - Lucio C. Tan and BROTHER MARTIN - A Man of Faith and Intuition; Orienting all the OSB-Superiors in AI; among others. The OD programs she has been involved include: training trainors, human resource management, reengineering, culture-building, advocacy work, consulting, organizational climate studies, applied planning, vision-mission and values setting, team- building, career development, conflict management, assertiveness training, project management and evaluation, values clarification and development, cultural induction and training in Appreciative Inquiry and mentoring-coaching of a Taipan.
Furthermore, Dean Rose shares her expertise with the various organizations where she holds several key positions, such as :

Our Academic Dean and President was born on July 11, 1947 in Tarlac, Tarlac. She is a widow who enjoys the warmth of family life together with her four children and seven grandchildren.
