Academic Journal

This is a compilation of the dissertations in Organization Development from 1988 to October 2007. SAIDI School of OD researches are Action Researches. No setting is the same as another. There are certainly similarities as well as differences. The interventions and experiences of the researchers present an array of interesting outcomes. Conclusions and recommendations are specific to the settings studied. The value for others may be limited; but the welcome experience is this - these studies are pratice-based.

PHILIPPINE EXPERIENCE OF APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY

The scholars whose research stories make up this volume are all associated with SAIDI - School of OD, did formal degrees there and used Appreciative Inquiry in their doctoral studies and/or in post graduate work associations, as consultants for business enterprises, church, NGO and government units, etc. They all found that one of the most practical advantages of AI as methodology is that it works, it yields results. Taken together then, these essays, these 'stories', give the reader a good picture of the depth and breadth of the possibilities of Appreciative Inquiry as methodology for action research - and for successful living.

TAIPAN: STORIES ABOUT LUCIO TAN

Written as a compilation of biographical sketches, Taipan focuses on the life of Filipino-Chinese businessman, Lucio Tan. It explores his roles as husband, father, friend, employer in the light of how others have observed, lived and worked with his thought-provoking wisdom and childlike wonder.
